Fiber Arts Group Welcomes You

Yarn to side of cake is real; hard to tell the difference!

The Cedars Knitting group has morphed into the Cedars Fiber Arts Group and is open to those who love to work with fibers in any form that is portable, even beginners. We meet on Friday afternoons from 1:00 to 2:45 in one of our homes. Last Friday, since Keri Schmit was hosting us, Sally Wilson gave a knitting lesson to Keri’s daughter, Miranda, who was home from school on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

We also gave an honorary membership to Miranda’s dad, Chris Schmit, as he is a birthday cake baker “par excellance.” He made Sally a wonderful cake that was chocolate sitting in an icing basket with three balls of yarn on top made out of balls of cake covered in lavendar, turquoise and yellow icings piped on with the finest of icing points to look exactly like yarn. Very tasty!

Let Diana Peters (dpeters1225@comcast.net) know if you would like to be on the list to receive weekly notices of our meetings.
