Special Collection: Children’s Trust Foundation

The special collection on January 29th will go to support the Children’s Trust Foundation, which is dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect by making parent support and education available and accessible to all Washington state families. Every year, nearly 80,000 reports of child abuse and neglect are filed in Washington; 20% are self-reported by parents who have nowhere to turn for support. Eight out of ten cases could have been prevented.

The foundation works through a statewide network of partners to ensure that families receive the most effective and research-supported services in the communities in which they live. Professionals who serve these families receive yearly training on how to eliminate abuse and neglect. In turn, these professionals teach and train the adults who are raising children so that they feel empowered to create healthy homes for their children before they reach the crisis point. Help support this important work. Please make checks out to Children’s Trust Foundation.
