Sunday, July 15
The recipient of our July special collection is Crooked Trails, a non-profit that sponsors immersive travel programs in support of indigenous peoples around the world. They support communities’ efforts to preserve and protect their culture and to confront the challenges of their rapidly changing surroundings. Funds collected will help bring smokeless kitchens to Quechua villagers in Umasbamba, Perú. (Using mostly local materials, this system allows smoke to escape, heat to remain, less wood to be burned and hot water to flow.)
Please make checks out to CUUC and write Crooked Trails on the memo line.
