August Study Group: UU Grounding in a Forrest of Cedars

Forrest ChurchUsing four short, provocative and helpful essays by the eminent UU articulator, Forrest Church, we will explore these aspects of being an intentional religious liberal in our time: Defining Our Faith; Matters of Life and Death; “Salvation” From “Sin”; and Born-Again UUism.  This is a good opportunity for newcomers and longtime UUs alike to both deepen personal identity as a contemporary UU and build relationships together.

Four Thursday evening sessions: 7:15pm, on the first, third, fourth and fifth Thursdays: August 2, 16, 23, 30.  Sessions led by Rev. Jaco ten Hove, co-minister, at the Katz Building.  Individual sessions can stand alone, but also build on each other.  Reading each essay ahead would be highly suggested. Essays will be provided at least a week in advance by Rev. Jaco via e-mail to registrants or by arrangement.

Please pre-register via our Brown Paper Tickets site ($10 for any combination of sessions).
