wedding ring quiltAs UUs, we strive every day to live up to and promote the seven principles of our faith. Very soon, we may well be faced with a monumental test of our willingness and ability to do just that. But in the end, why is a single word—“marriage”—really so important? Warren Read and his partner Shayne Chandler have been members of Cedars since 2002. They have three sons: David, Dylan and Dmitry. Warren teaches for the Bainbridge Island Schools and is currently working toward his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Pacific Lutheran University.
