The Story of Cedars
Sunday, October 15, 2017
10:00 a.m. to 12:30
The Island School
“Telling Our Cedars Story”, with Rev. Thomas Perchlik, Cedars Minister and Keri Schmit, Worship Associate.
In worship on Sunday, we will be taking the first step on our path of transition. This step is to set recent events into the past to tell a story of our congregation’s ongoing history. Our Story of Cedars will focus on the events that have shaped the meaning of our lives – individually and collectively as a congregation. Each person will have a chance to add to the story and seek its significant themes as we look for meaning in it.
The 10:00 a.m. service will be the first hour of a two and a half hour event that will conclude around 12:30. Those who stay for the second hour will further explore the meanings, strengths, and ideals embodied in our story.
Hearty refreshments will be served and childcare is available. Please plan on attending. The story will only be complete if we all become part of the storytelling process.
