A Hidden Wholeness: The Journey Toward an Undivided Life

Cell from Wellcome TrustAnnouncing the formation of a six-session Book Study and Sharing Group, co-led by Rev. Jaco ten Hove and Dianah Jackson (LMFTA, Bainbridge Family Counseling), beginning Sunday, Oct. 6th.

In each of us there is the voice of an ‘inner teacher’ that whispers our truthful desire to lead a life of integrity and joy. In his book, A Hidden Wholeness, Parker Palmer weaves together four themes: the shape of an integral life, the meaning of community, teaching and learning for transformation, and nonviolent social change. He writes eloquently of the ways to nurture communities of trust, silence and support that can help each of us uncover the wisdom of our inner teacher.

A small study group will explore this book together, embracing evocative metaphors, sharing silence and personal reflections. Sunday Evenings at Cedars UU Center (Bainbridge), 7:15-9:15 pm, on Oct. 6, 20, Nov. 3, 17, Dec. 1, 15. Maximum 6 participants (plus co-leaders) with a $10 participant fee, collected at first meeting.

A pre-registration interview with the co-leaders is required. Contact Rev. Jaco (minister@cedarsUUchurch.org) or Dianah (jackson.dianah@gmail.com) directly to inquire and register.
