The Spirituality Book Group has decided to change meeting times to every other month on a Tuesday afternoon, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, May 9, 1-3 p.m. at the home of Richard and Sally Wilsons.

The book title for May is: “The Humanist Alternative: Some Definitions of Humanism”, Paperback – 1973, by Paul Kurtz (prominent American skeptic and secular humanist, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the State University of New York at Buffalo). This book is recommended by Richard Wilson.

A collection of essays. “Those who contributed to this volume represent a wide spectrum of Humanist –philosophers, psychologists, social scientists, ethical and religious leaders. If there is a common thread running throughout this volume, it is the conviction that Humanism is committed to the method of reason as the chief means of solving problems and the belief that mankind can survive and humans can enjoy a significant life.” – quoted from Amazon.com

It may be difficult to get. There are used versions available on Amazon,  from $2- $30. Check out this link: https://goo.gl/916wDO.
