Cedars Sunday Services Committee

The Cedars Sunday Services Committee, in collaboration with others within the Cedars community, has welcomed guidance in creating¬† relevant and informative Sunday services. Collectively, we believe that our values and principles as a UU congregation give us the responsibility to address larger concerns within the UUA. With this in mind, we wish to alert you to two upcoming services that will touch upon the issues of “power and change” within the UUA. They are:

July 2:¬†Create The Community You Wish to See: Who We Must Become”, with Marcus Green, Guest Speaker, Marsha Gladhart, Worship Associate, and Barbara Golden, SSC Coordinator. With many of us reeling from changes in our lives, community, country, and beyond, how can we lovingly influence what we see around us?

July 9: Disruption”, with Rev. Amanda Aikman, Guest Minister, Christina Doherty, Worship Associate, Jeff Bauman, SSC Coordinator. Our denomination is in the midst of a crisis concerning race. Top leaders have departed; new ideas, priorities, and vocabulary are causing controversy, dismay, and excitement. For her last service with us as Worship Consultant, Amanda will bring us up to date, and invite us into conversation.
