Calling our Ministerial Candidate

This is a very exciting time for our Congregation, and we need your participation and support to call our new Minister Candidate, Zackrie Vinczen.

On Sunday, May 5, there will be an important meeting and vote, immediately after the worship service. It is crucial that you attend the meeting in person to shape the future of our Church. Our By-laws state that to call Zackrie Vinczen as our Minister:

The Board of Trustees unanimously supports the Search Committee’s recommendation to call Zackrie as our settled Minister. We are grateful to the entire Congregation for investing the resources necessary to conduct this search. We wish to express special thanks to our Search Committee for their dedication and hard work in the selection of Zackrie as their recommended choice. Beginning last summer, the Search Committee met almost every week and did their due diligence on every aspect of the search. Members of the Search Committee are: Carol Ann Davidson, Betsy Minkoff, Johanna Munson, Vinnie Perrone, Jeff Philip, John Wiens, and Richard Wilson.

We care deeply regarding the opinion of every member. Our By-laws do not allow absentee ballots for the ministerial candidate vote. Therefore, it is critical that you attend on May 5 and vote in person. If you are unable to attend this meeting but would like to provide a few words for us to read aloud, please send them to Board Member Helen Nissani. Your words will be shared, although you will not be able to vote. We also would be pleased to receive comments from our Friends who are not eligible to vote but whose thoughts we would like to share at the meeting.

If you need transportation assistance in order to attend Church on Sunday, May 5, please contact Kathleen at the Church Office by Wednesday, May 1st. We will do our best to find a ride for you.

If you have not had the chance to read Zackrie’s biography, this is the link.

We appreciate your support and especially your attendance at the important meeting on May 5.
