Hunger Doesn’t Take a Vacation
Cedars Spring Service ProjectJune 16, 2019
Please bring food donations to our Sunday service on June 16th to participate in our spring food drive. Our donations will be shared with Helpline and North Kitsap Fishline. Together, these organizations serve over 1775 children per month in the summer. Most of these children receive free or low-cost school breakfasts and lunches during the school year. Families must do without that help during the summer, and summertime kids are hungry kids! Let’s help Helpline and Fishline be prepared for these kids and their families this summer.
Here is a list of the most requested items:peanut butter, almond butter, fruit cocktail, animal crackers, jams/jellies, applesauce, packs of nuts, individual pudding servings, assorted pasta, spaghetti sauce, brown and white rice, mac ‘n’ cheese, Rice-a-Roni®, fruit juices (individual servings), snack food, canned tuna, salmon, or chicken, individual packs of chicken or tuna, trail mix, dried fruit, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned or packaged soups, boxed cereals, catsup/mustard/mayonnaise, crackers or cookies, flour, sugar, baking supplies, cake mixes, gluten-free foods, granola bars, treats (licorice, gummy bears, candy bars).
