Sept. 4: Embracing Water—Our Annual Water Ceremony
“Even as the river’s origin and its mouth are present at every point along its banks, so also do each of us imply each other, all over the world and from the deepest recesses of history unto the farthest reaches of the future. All of humankind is but a larger river.”—Don Marshall
Water covers a majority of the Earth’s surface and is the prime ingredient in each of us. We’ll celebrate this element and welcome each other back in our annual homecoming service. And whether you have traveled to an interesting place this summer or have had meaningful times locally, you are invited to bring a small amount of representative water to place in our communal bowl.
