Celebrating Earth Hour
The World Wildlife Federation is once again sponsoring Earth Hour http://www.earthhour.org, an hour in which people literally around the world turn off their lights (and electronic gadgets within reason) for an hour at a set time from 8:30 – 9:30 p.m. in their own time zone. The hoped-for effect from outer space would thus be a wave of dimming that encircles the planet. In the past, the Space Needle has gone dim for the Hour (very cool!). We encourage Bainbridge and Greater Kitsap to participate again this year. There is also a competition among cities http://worldwildlife.org/pages/earth-hour-city-challenge .
Date: March 29, 2014
Time: 8:30 – 9:30 PM PST
Place: your home (or wherever you are at that time)
