The Green Sanctuary Committee and the Social Justice Committee have teamed up to offer disposable mask recycling. Cedars has purchased a box through the Terracycle program in which we will collect disposable masks which will be sent to Terracycle where they will be taken apart and recycled. There is a bucket placed outside the Cedars church office and at the exit doors after
services at the Island School. The buckets will then be brought into our office and masks
placed in the Terracycle box. This also be publicized on the local Zerowaste website. Tell
your friends and help reduce waste created by the pandemic!
