The Cedars Movie Group meets monthly for social evenings and discussion of a selected movie that participants have viewed previously.

This month the group will again meet virtually to discuss the film, Youth Without Youth.

A love story wrapped in a mystery, the film follows the spiritual odyssey of an aging academic who fears death will find him before he’s able to complete his greatest work, and a miraculous and astonishing transformation that then changes everything.

It was produced and directed by Francis Ford Coppola in 2007 and is based on a novella by the Romanian diplomat, novelist, philosopher and polymath Mircea Eliade (1907-86), who spent the last 30 years of his life teaching comparative mythology and religious history at the University of Chicago.

The film is available to rent on Amazon Prime Video for $2.99. The discussion will be hosted by Barry and Linda Andrews, using the Zoom meeting platform.
