Our Minister

Rev. Margo Rinehart
The Reverend Margo Rinehart has been the minister at Cedars since October of 2024. She serves Cedars through welcoming people from diverse theological and religious backgrounds and spiritual beliefs on their journeys to learn from one another, search for truth and answer the call of love and justice.
In 2018, she earned a Master of Divinity degree from Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry, a program with a strong commitment to social action. Since that time, she has served UU congregations in Oregon and Montana and returned to the Puget Sound area in 2024. As her work with Cedars is part-time, she also shares some of her time with a UU congregation in Tacoma.
In addition to her call to ministry, Reverend Margo worked for over 20 years as a social worker. She resides in Kitsap County and is often visiting with extended family elders and her son, Ben, who lives in Seattle and works as a policy analyst. Reverend Margo is an avid cyclist, emerging watercolor painter, a paper artist and engages in spiritual practices through the Buddhist Insight community.
