Cedars Gala and Dinner Thank You!

Our 2017 Cedars Gala and Dinner fundraiser was a tremendous success and it provided a wonderful Fall evening of community, music, tasty food, wine and beverages and much fun. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of so many Cedars Members and Friends who attended, a total of more than $22,000 was raised to assist with our church operations in the coming year!

Programs of this nature take literally scores of people who volunteer in many different ways to create such a special Cedar’s evening.  We want to thank each of you who willingly gave of your time and energy in providing appetizers as well as those delicious goodies for the “Dessert Dash”.  And for all of you who helped by purchasing raffle tickets, standing tall and contributing to the Paddle Call.  We want to give special thanks to all those donors who created 40 unique events to purchase that will bring Cedars members and friends together next year (and raised more than $11,000 in doing so).

We are grateful for John Peck’s help with technical operations, for Tyler Weaver and Alex Sanso our wonderful emcees, and for Chris Smellow for providing our entertainment and musical talent. It is remarkable to see just how many hands it takes to deliver such a program!

Thanks to all of you who helped with the setup and cleanup of Webster Hall; and to the cashiers, the registrars, our greeters, and to the child care providers. This event was made even more special with the help that was provided by many youth members of the congregation joining in along with our Minister and the Cedars staff.

We would like you to know of our deep appreciation for all that each of you do to make Cedars UU Church the special community it is.
