Since 1984 the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations has maintained a list of seven principles that have helped define the core of what it means to be a UU. In recent years, conversations around adding an eighth principle have been unfolding… and just a few months ago a proposal was put forth to move away from the principles entirely.

In this service, we will look at the history of what is called article II of the UUA bylaws, and try to understand what this conversation means for UUs.
