Replacing the previously scheduled Blessing of the Animals (which has been rescheduled for this fall)
A Virtual Service starting at 10:00 am on August 8th
Rev. Sean Parker Dennison, Minister of Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Ashland, Oregon
Alison Cole Duren-Sutherland, Intern Minister of the Southern Oregon UU Partnership
What have we learned since 1994 when “The Shawshank Redemption” was released? How does what we’ve learned about the history of incarceration, the experience of pandemic, the shifts and conflicts in our nation, the persistence of white supremacy, and all that we have learned about ourselves change our experience of the film’s message that “hope is a dangerous thing?”
A virtual Coffee Hour will follow the service. Please see the link in our Calendar.
